A mature and perceptive painter

Amir a Nejad’s recent solo show at Swansea Grand Theatre was a great success, with crowds turning out to spot family, friends – and sometimes themselves – among his portraits.

His paintings are beautiful, sensitive and perceptive: a common comment on his exhibition’s opening night was how lifelike they are. He has a flair for capturing the essence of his subjects.
